A Facebook post singles out Grace Poe for giving P20M to New People's Army.

The Facebook post singled out reelectionist senator Grace Poe for allegedly giving the New People’s Army P20 million, based on one news report in April quoting a certain “Ka Nonoy Alcantara” that claimed five senate bets paid leftist, communist and rebel groups in exchange for an endorsement.

The five senatorial candidates--Poe, Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV, Nancy Binay, Serge Osmena and Erin Tanada-- are all endorsed by the Makabayan bloc. In a phone interview with VERA Files, the group denied knowing Alcantara who also claimed to be a "political officer of the Makabayan coalition" according to the report.

Only senators Aquino and Binay and senatorial candidate Tañada have issued statements denying the accusation.
