Old story on smuggling case of Lito Lapid's wife circulates online

An article, purportedly released by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, recently circulated on social media claiming that the wife of senatorial candidate Lito Lapid was sentenced for bulk cash smuggling.

While the article is legitimate, some of the posts that recently circulated online failed to note that it was issued six years ago, making it appear that this is a recent case.
