FB page invents BOGUS award for video report on CDO reelectionist mayor’s anomalies

Facebook page Global Transparency Network (GTN) claimed its “correspondent” won the gold medal on a so-called “Transparency Media” award for its video report on the corruption allegations hounding reelectionist Cagayan de Oro reelectionist mayor Oscar Moreno.

The Internet yielded no results on both the GTN and the supposed media award. The page appears to have been created only last week and carries no definitive information on the kind of work the GTN does.

Moreno has been called by his rival, former agriculture secretary Jose Gabriel “Pompee” La Vina, in 2018 as the “most anti-Duterte mayor in the whole Philippines.”
